Alchimie by  Tasya Kudryk

Artist:
Tasya Kudryk is a young ukrainian photographer currently sharing her time between Kiev and Warsaw. Using film photography as a main medium Tasya uses collages and digital photography as well to create a unique visual language. Being self taught as a photographer Tasya feel herself totally free in her practice and that is a distinguishing feature of her fashion shootings that makes them more art-related and vivid.

“Well, my name is Tasya. I am a 23 year old photographer and collage maker from Ukraine, based in Kiev. When I was in the very romantic age of 16 I took my small, cheap digital camera everywhere with me and that was my way of perceiving things around me. Collages came from my permanent desire to create visual material – I started doing them when I had no time or opportunity to do shootings. I use random tumblr pictures. My creative process is rather spontaneous, many decisions come to me in different ways. But the only thing that is always the same – I have to feel the idea and I have have to do it myself – so I not only shoot, I often do set design, styling, and post-production. Sometimes even layouts. It’s like a trance. My inspirations come from everything and everywhere. I am opposed to a value judgment – what is beautiful and what is not. Things and persons worthy of attention are at every step.”
